The duties of the Operations and Rules Committee are to:
- Monitor the current committee structure of TEA and review the current policies and recommend changes to the TEA Board of Directors
- Consider any needed or proposed amendments to the TEA Constitution and Bylaws and TEA RA Standing Rules and present and explain proposed amendments to the TEA Constitution and Bylaws or the TEA RA Standing Rules to the TEA Board of Directors and the TEA Representative Assembly
- Formulate a proposed legislative program for the next biennium and submit and explain the proposed legislative program to the TEA Board of Directors and the TEA Representative Assembly
- Review and edit existing TEA Resolutions document to ensure relevance and to reflect current terminology and practice; study proposed resolutions that are submitted by any member, any affiliate, and/or Board of Directors; and prepare and present to the annual Representative Assembly any resolutions for consideration and adoption
