Demand Pre-Clearance and Professional Integrity

1 Start 2 Complete

A new law on teaching history is causing concern and sowing confusion among teachers of every grade level. TEA is taking on the new law and is ready to defend the professional rights of members. Click here to read more about HB580 and then take action below.

TEA is asking members who teach social studies and/or ELA at any grade level to submit one or two lesson plans for pre-clearance by the State Department of Education. This is an important step for us to demonstrate our professional integrity and for the state to take responsibility for what they passed.

Please copy and paste the lesson plan components listed below into the indicated text boxes.

ALL personal identifying information will be removed prior to submission to the State Department of Education.

Your member number can be found on the mailing label of Teach and The Advocate. It is also on your membership card.
Please indicate your subject area and/or grade level.
Please upload any applicable supplemental materials for the lesson.
Files must be less than 2 MB.
Allowed file types: gif jpg jpeg png pdf doc docx ppt pptx.

Please note: Submitting a lesson plan to the TDOE does not guarantee pre-clearance of the lesson.
