New Teacher Conference

New and nearly new teachers are invited to attend TEA's New Teacher Conference. Offering two different regional conferences, one for East Tennessee and one for West Tennessee, please attend the location that is convenient for you. Earn six hours of professional development credit while strengthening your practice to enhance your success as a teacher.

Conference Details
Who: 

Highly recommended for new and nearly new teachers in their first three years of teaching.  (Not open to STEA members.)  Participation is limited.  Spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. More experienced teachers will be wait-listed and accommodated on a space-available basis within two weeks of each conference date.

Saturday, November 22, 2014, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Sessions will include the following: Professionalism, Student Behavior, TEA 101 and Loan Forgiveness.

PLEASE NOTE:
Once registered, participants will receive a confirmation via e-mail (or regular mail if no e-mail address is provided). If you do not receive a confirmation prior to the date of the program, please confirm with Marie Bowling or by phone (800.342.8367) that you are registered prior to traveling to the session.

Cost: 

$35 registration fee for either conference. 
You must include your payment for the registration fee prior to receiving confirmation of attendance.
Fees will be refunded to participacts who are TEA members, and also attend the conference.
No refunds for those participants who register, but do not attend.
