TEA's annual Spring Symposium is always something special. The 14th annual symposium will be held March 19-20, 2010 at Gatlinburg's Park Vista Resort Hotel. Pulitzer-nominated author Clifton Taulbert and TEA President Earl Wiman will keynote TEA’s 14th Annual Spring Symposium.

Clifton Taulbert is a Pulitzer-nominated author, filmmaker and President of The Freemount Corporation and Building Community Institute. From Fortune 500 companies to K-12 educators to the various institutions of higher learning, Taulbert provides a clear picture of the role of “Community” as a foundational asset to bring about transformation and change. Taulbert is recognized as one of America's leading thought-leaders on the "Power of Community" and was chosen by CNN at the turn of the millennium to represent one of the voices of 'Community.' Taulbert’s conversation on “Community” introduced him to former United States Supreme Court Justice, Sandra Day O’Connor who personally invited him to address members of the court and their guests. Clifton delivers a message that is powerful and timeless on concepts of Leadership, Diversity, Capacity Building and Team Connectivity to educators nationwide.

Dr. Earl Wiman has dedicated his life to public education with experience ranging from kindergarten teacher to school administrator. He simply cannot be described nor defined. Instead, he must be experienced. The remarkable combination of his personal style and his message does something to people that cannot be captured in a text description.
