The duties of the Professional Negotiations Committee are to:
  • Review and assess the status of negotiations in the state

  • Assess the non-negotiating local associations and recommend ways to assist them

  • Evaluate training needs and recommend ways to deliver appropriate training for local association leaders and negotiators

  • Recommend ways for local associations to prepare for, participate in, and evaluate their negotiations activities

  • Assimilate and disseminate materials, information, ideas, and suggestions about negotiations

  • Report periodically to the Board of Directors

  • Complete other tasks assigned to the committee by the Board
