When approaching Nashville by interstate highway, do not take the 440 bypass.
Interstate highways 65, 40 and 24 converge in Nashville.
If you are approaching the city from the west via I-40 East, take exit 207, Jefferson Street. Take a right at the foot of the exit. Continue up Jefferson Street and turn right onto 4th Ave. North. Turn left onto Jackson Street and then right onto 2nd Ave. North. Map
If you are approaching the city from the north via I-65 South or I-24 East, continue onto I-24 East/I-40 East. Map
If you are approaching the city from the east via I-24 West or I-40 West, bear right onto I-24 West/I-65 North. Map
If you are approaching the city from the south via I-65 North, bear right onto I-40 East, continue, then bear left onto I-24 West. Map
٭ Take exit #47, North 1st Street, turn right onto Spring Street which becomes Jefferson Street, cross the bridge over Cumberland River and at the foot, turn right and keep bearing right following the “downtown” signs onto Second Ave. North. (You will circle back under the bridge.) Map
The TEA building is at 801 Second Avenue North and is a brick and glass three-story building with TEA signs in the side lawns. There is parking in front and in back of the building; however, visitors must enter through the front entrance and check in with the receptionist.
