Tennessean columnist Ms. Cheap announced a back-to-school contest for teachers in her July 11 column: “I’m asking all you smart and savvy teachers and former teachers to share your innovative and clever tricks for saving money in the classroom.”

She promises to judge all tips received and award three prizes--$50 Mastercard gift cards—for the best ideas. Money-saving teacher tips should be submitted by July 24, along with your address, daytime phone number, where and what you teach, to mscheap@tennessean.com  or Ms. Cheap, 1100 Broadway, Nashville, TN 37203.
